AI Image Compressor FAQ

How do I compress an image without losing quality?

Choose Lossless mode. It re-encodes the pixels as an optimised PNG with exactly the same visual data. For photos, Lossy mode at a high quality such as 80–90% gives much smaller files that still look the same.

What is the difference between lossless and lossy compression?

Lossless compression keeps every pixel identical but saves less space. Lossy compression discards detail you are unlikely to notice to produce much smaller JPG or WEBP files.

Can I compress multiple images at once?

Yes. Add as many images as you like, compress them together and download them all in one ZIP file.

How accurate is the file size estimate?

The estimate is based on a real test encode of your image (or a sample for very large pictures), so it is usually close to the final size.

What if the compressed file is bigger than the original?

The tool keeps your original file in that case and tells you, so you never download a larger file by accident.

Are my images uploaded?

No. Compression happens entirely in your browser and your images stay on your device. Compressed images also have their metadata removed.
